Chp 21 Where it all began

We were now back in New York, earlier than what we had intended. Apparently Kelly's show had got cancelled, which resulted in us leaving early. She had flipped out on me when i had told her i had been in LA all that time because i didn't tell her. Then when i tried to explain that we were surprising her, she didn't want to hear it. She is such a big brat. But i love my girl. Since being back i've been in the studio just getting a feel of the whole recording thing, nothing major.  Solo was off with Jay and Ye, getting her ready as a Dj. With Chris's party coming up we felt it would be good for her to go ahead and let that be her first gig. She was so excited, that she couldn't stop talking about it. Angie and I were just leaving from a meeting and we were headed to meet up with Michelle. I haven't see her in a minute, it'll be nice to do some catching up. We pulled up to Michelle's house and greeted her at the door, as she stood there waiting for us to pull up.


(Michelle) "Hey Angie, Hey Bey" she said hugging the both of us.


(Bey and Ang) "Hey Michelle." they said as they hugged her back.


(Michelle) walking towards the kitchen "I just made some tea and just put in some potato skins, yal want any?"


(Ang) "Potato skins? With Tea?"


(Michelle) "Well yea, i waas already gonna make some skins, then i just bought this new tea and i wanted to try it so yea." she said chuckling,


(Ang) "Oh okay, well i don't want any tea, but i'll take some skins. Juts hand me a pepsi or something."


(Michelle) Going into the fridge "Alright."


(Bey) "I'll try some tea."


(Michelle) "Okay" hands Angie her tea and fixes Bey tea


(Ang) "So what you been up to little missy." Angie said talking to Michelle.


(Michelle) handing Bey her tea "Well i just finished my album, i decided to fully dedicate this one to gospel and well i just been doing my broadways."


(Ang) "Oh okay, thats good. So is the album in store yet."


(Bey) takes a sip of her "Whoo this tea is good." she said letting out a laugh.


Angie and Michelle just sit there staring at Bey and laugh at her outburst.


(Bey) "Ooops my bad" she said taking another sip of her tea.


(Michelle) chuckling "Well, yes it is in stores. It hit the stores about 3or 4 days ago."


(Bey) "Thats good. Im so proud of you Michelle. You know i've been in the studio recording?"


(Michelle) "Omg Bey, really? I haven't heard you sing since we were younger. I cant believe your recording now." she said hugging Bey.


(Bey) hugging Michelle back "Yea, I'm so excited. Shawn has been so great too me. I can't even explain. He's even getting Solo into becoming a Dj."


(Ang) sipping on her pepsi "Oh that's right, she does do that."


(Michelle) "Well I'm glad to see you and Shawn are doing great, i happy for you Bey. I love seeing you like this."


(Bey) "Thanks Michelle."


(Ang) "Yea i am too Bey, you deserve it."


(Bey) "Aw thanks Ang."


(Michelle) "So when will you be releasing it."


(Bey) "Im hoping New Years. I know it's kind of sudden, but i feel i can get it done."


(Ang) "Bey thats like a month and a half from now"


(Bey) turns to look at Ang "I know, but i can do it."


(Michelle) it normally takes me a good 6 months to a year and sometimes even longer than that.


(Bey) "But thats the thing, I'm not you. All people are different. And on top of that, the timing would be right, with my movie premiering that same week, my album releasing, i shouldn't any worries."


(Michelle) "Well congrats to you again Bey. I wish you nothing but success."


(Bey) "Thank you."


We spent the rest of our time talking, eating, drinking, and just having a good time. It didn't take long though for Michelle to get into her preaching ways, which caused Angie and I to leave early. Instead of going straight home, i decided to pop up at the studio. Who would have known, i would have been in there recording. I was just going to check on Solo when they had me listen to some beats they've created. Before i knew it i was in the booth. The song i was recording was so smooth and soulful. It was a remake of an olschool song "I rather be with you." It was so exhilarating. I spent the rest of the evening in the studio, finishing up on the song. Ye ended up leaving early and so did Solo. Jay and I stayed at the studio until about 2 o'clock. I was so ecstatic about having finished my first song. The feeling was so great.






**(In the Car)


(Bey) "I had so much fun today in the studio. It's one thing to just be fooling around in the studio, but actually being able to sing, write music, and create good music is a whole other feeling. "


(Jay) "You remind me of me when i first got into the studio" he said smiling.


(Bey) "Oh Im pretty sure were way more excited then me, you probably scream like a little girl when you first heard your song be played on the radio." i said cracking a joke.


(Jay) starts rubbing on his chin "Ha i see you got jokes, but na i was too busy popping bottles to have time to do so, but that was waaaaaaaay before your time youngin."


(Bey) "And whats that suppose to mean old man" i joked back.


(Jay) "Old man huh, you wasn't saying that last night now were you?" he teased as he pinched me leg.


Bey started feeling embarrassed, normally she has better come backs, and now Jay was getting on her. 


(Bey) flares up her nose and punches Jay in the arm, making him swerve. "STUPID!!!"


(Jay) grabbs control of the car "Got Damn girl, got me swerving and shit."


(Bey) "You play too much."


(Jay) "Oh so you mad."


(Bey) Just sits their pouting


(Jay) "So i take it your not talking to me either?"


(Bey) turns and looks out the window


(Jay) mushes Bey head "I don't care that your mad."


Bey tries to hit Jay back, but he wrestles with her to try and strain her because he was driving.


(Jay) holding Bey by her arms "Why are you so sensitive today?" his tone became serious.


(Bey) "I'm not."


(Jay) "Yea okay...."




Jay and i don't really have arguments, we just normally just bicker back and forth between each other over the dumbest things. And then like few mins later were right back joking around. We made it to back to my place and i went upstairs to get changed and out of my clothes. I notice Jay didn't come upstairs with me. As i was walking down the stairs i saw him leaving out the the door. 




(Bey) "Where are you going?" i asked walking to the bottom of the stairs.


(Jay) "For a drive."


(Bey) "Are you coming back?"


(Jay) "I don't maybe or i might crash at my place."


(Bey) "But--"


He walks out the door.


(Bey's thoughts)
What was Jay's problem? Was he mad at me? Did i say something wrong? What did i do? I hope he's not mad and i hope he does come back. I just want to talk to him and no whats up.


I couldn't even go to bed, i was so stuck on Jay. I was becoming more and more frustrated because i'm calling him and texting him but he wasn't responding. I coudlnt help but think about what i did wrong. A couple of hours had went by before Jay had came back. I met him at the top of the stairs. I wasn't mad or anything, i just wanted to let him know i was more so worried.


(Bey) "Jay" i said as i followed him into the room.


(Jay) "What?" he said as he sat on the bed, he had begin taking off his shoes and stuff to get in bed.


(Bey) "Are you mad at me or something?" I said moving in closer towards him.


(Jay) "No I'm not, i just felt like going for a drive alone."


(Bey) "So you only went for a drive?" i asked.


(Jay) looks up at Bey "Yea, Where did you think i went?"


(Bey) "I dont know" i said going to sit next to him "I just hate it when you leave out like that, it reminds me about when Tony use to do it and gives me anxiety, thats all."


(Jay) "Look Bey I'm not Tony, I'm nothing like him. I would never treat you like he did, okay?" he said as he brushed his hand across my cheek.


(Bey) I put my head down "I know, i think that what scares me the most. I always have flashes of things that Tony use to do that i hold some things against you, but I'm trying my best to get over it." 


(Jay) lifts beys face and kisses her "I know, and i want ever put you in a situation like that ever, i don't even want to talk about it no more, lets just go to sleep." he said as he turned over into bed.


(Bey) "Okay" following right after Jay.


In with that said Jay and I cuddled up and feel asleep. It felt good being in laying in his arms.

It was now the next day. I was laying in bed looking at some old pics of me. Solo was in the kitchen cooking, Jay had went back to his place for a little bit. It was just a chilling Saturday morning. It was also the day of Chris's party. And just as i was waiting on a call from Gwyn, she started calling me.

(Gwyn) "Hey Beeeey, girl what you doing?"


(Bey) "Nothing, in bed just lounging around, how is everything going?"


(Gwyn) "It's great, I'm just went and checked on everything. It came along perfect. I just finished meeting with the decorator and caterer, and thats a fact that Jay does already have security."


(Bey) "Yup, all we need to do is just show up."


(Gwyn)  giggles "Alright cool, so i'l be seeing you before everyone gets there right?"


(Bey) "Yea, yea, yea, i can do that?"


(Gwyn) "Okay good, well that about cover's it, i guess ill talk to you later."


(Bey) "Alright, byyyyye." hangs up.


After hanging up with Gwyn, i headed downstairs with Solo. She was finishing up with cooking by then. I grabbed a piece of bacon off the stove, that was already done and set at the counter and ate it. 


(Solo) "Dannng greedy, can you at least wait until I'm finished."


(Bey) "Well from the looks of things it seems you are already finished." I said going to the fridge and pouring me up some juice.


(Solo) chuckling "Just about" she says as she turns off the stove. "Hey i was wondering if i could use to car today to go shopping?"


(Bey) "Shopping? For what?" i said as i drank my juice.


(Solo) "Well i wanted to buy me a fly outfit for tonight."


(Bey) "Yea thats fine. But your not going anywhere with out Julius so make sure you call him."


(Solo) "Okay, ill give him a text right now, that way by the time I'm done eating an getting ready he'll be good to go."


(Bey) "Okay" i said going to fix me a bowl of cereal. I know Solo had just cooked but i wasn't really in the mood for anything heavy.


(Solo) "Wait so your not eating?" she said as she fixed her plate.


(Bey) "Na, Im just gonna have me some honey nut cheerios. Im not that hungry."


(Solo) "Well ima out it away in case you do, because you know how you be."


(Bey) laughing. "Weeeellllll."


I went on and ate my cereal as Solo finished her meal. I had about 2 and 1/2 bowls. I didnt finish the third one because i got full. Solo was leaving out as i was doing the dishes. After about an half an hr to 45 mins, i was done cleaning the kitchen and putting away food. I don't know why i even put away any food like it was going to get ate. After i was done, i went upstairs to shower and freshen up. Then i just got back in bed and sort of just laid there. It feel so good to just relax. About an hr later, Jay was coming in the door. I was still in be and Solo was still gone. 


(Jay) walking in the room "You sleep?"


(Bey) pooping her head up off the bed to look at Jay "No I'm up."


(Jay) "Oh why you just laying there?" he asked as he crawled into bed next to me.


(Bey) "Im just chilling thats all" i said as i kissed him.


I love when Jay is around me, he makes me feel so good.


(Jay) wrapping his arms around me "Oh okay, where's Solo?"


(Bey) "She went shopping for an outfit for tonight?"


(Jay) "Oh okay." he sounded like he was falling asleep.


(Bey) turns back to look at Jay "You going to sleep?"


(Jay) "Yea just for a min, but don't let me sleep past 4."


(Bey) "Okay." i said as i was making myself comfortable.


I was still a little tired too, so as Jay feel asleep i did too. I woke up though around 2 hrs later, it was now around 2:45. I got out of bed to see if Solo had gotten back and the sound of her scattering through some bags let me know that she was.


(Bey) "You found what you were looking for?" i asked walking into her room. She jumped to the sound of my voice, like she wasn't expecting me to come in.


(Solo) "Ohhh! Bey you scared me?" she said grasping her breath. "But yea i did. Ima look hottttt." she said all playfully.


(Bey) "Ooooohh can i see" i asked all excited.


(Solo) "Nooooo, you gotta wait and see. It's a surprise." 


(Bey) "Okkkkay, gosh. It's probably ugly anyway " i said jokingly as i walked out the room.


(Solo) laughing "Oh whatever!"


After going to pick with Solo, i walked down into the kitchen because i was feeling hungry. I scooped me out a couple of pieces of bacon and some eggs. I let that cook a little in the microwave as i toasted some bread. Once everything was done i ended making a bacon and egg sandwich. I took it back upstairs with me to go get back in bed. I was in the mood to watch some tv, although i could have just went in the living room, i didn't want to forget to wake Jay up. I got into bed very quietly, trying not to wake Jay. Once i was situated and comfortable i turned on some tv. The first thing that popped on my screen was the Tyra Banks Show. She was a good friend of mine. I ended up watching it,  so i could catch up on her and her show. She was a model as well, but she recently has stepped aside from modeling to start a day time talk show, which is actually pretty good. But Oprah still holds the title. I only ate about half of my sandwich being that i wasn't that hungry as i thought i was. I looked over at Jay and saw that he was still sleeping. It was only a little after 3 and he was still sleeping, instead of waking him up early, i decided i was going to mess with him. I took some ice out my cup and let it drip over his face. The minute he started flenching too much, i stopped and tried my hardest to keep from laughing too loud. Then i took little pieces of bacon and placed them on his head. Then i took a picture. When i decided i was day playing with him, i just figured i was going to wake him up. I was getting bored. I took some more ice out my cup and held it in my hand as i trailed it up his back. He jumped up so fast out the bed, as i sat there laughing, as he shook ice out his shirt.


(Jay) "What the Fuck?" he said all shocked and confused.


I was laughing so hard. He had no clue what was going on. And I know he was sleeping hard and good too. You could see it all in his face.


(Jay) looking at Bey and the ice "I ought to whoop your ass." he said all playfully.


(Bey) still laughing hard "Haaahaaha you should see your face."


(Jay) "Oh you think its funny huh?" he said with a smirk on his face.


(Bey) "Yup" i said as i burst out laughing.


As soon as i said that Jay jumped into bed and started smacking me with pillows, but it was very playful. I couldn't help but laugh. I so weak from laughing i could barely fight back.


(Bey) "Okay, i quit, i quit." i said as i crawled out the bed.


(Jay) "Oh what you cat take no more." he said as he sat there in bed.


I was standing off in a corner, trying to keep my distance, just in case i needed to maneuver. 


(Bey) "Yea, my stomach starting to hurt, i shouldn't have ate that sandwich."


(Jay) "Aw why you aint make me one?" he said sarcastically, but serious.


(Bey) "Because your were sleep duuuh."


(Jay) "You could have fed me while i was sleep."


(Bey) "Ta"  i said as i started walking off "I don't think so."


(Jay) "Where are you going?"


(Bey) "To take this stuff down stairs, is it a problem?" i joked as i walked out there door.


(Jay) "Not it aint no problem" he said as he joked back "You better fix me a sandwich though, you hear me Anna May?" he yelled as i walked out the room. I peeked my head back in the room and rolled my eyes to his silliness. Ha Anna May my ass.


I went downstairs and washed out my dishes and brought him Jay back up a sandwich and a gatorade. But he is never satisfied. 


(Bey) "Here" i said as i handed him his sandwich and sat his gatorade on the nightstand.


(Jay) "What is this, this aint what you had?" he said giving me a funny look, but i knew he was playing, because he's always playing around. 


Jay, sometimes likes to act a little picky. Like he needs to be catered too and starts acting all spoiled like and what not. But i love that about him, all the different sides to him, all his differentness qualities, it's so intriguing. 


(Bey) "Boy you better shut up and eat it" i said as i walked over to the closet to pull some things out.


(Jay) "Damn, you don't have to be mean." he joked back as he took a bite out his sandwich. "Mm, this is good."


(Bey) "Yea i know, what are you wearing tonight?" i said still pulling things out.


(Jay) "It aint nothing formal is it." he said still eating his sandwich.


(Bey) "No. But you don't wanna walk up in there all slummish!!"


(Jay) "Ima just match with you then...."


(Bey) turns to look at Jay "Can you wait til you don't have a mouth full of food to talk" i said giving him a look.


Jay just stops eating and opens up his mouth and flashes his food at Bey.


(Bey) "You are disgusting."


(Jay) sitting down his sandwich to drink his gatorade "Yea but you love me though." he says after taking a swallow.


(Bey) "So what do you wanna wear?"


(Jay) gets up and brushes pass Bey "It don't matter, whatever you throw on ima just match it with yours." he says in goes into the bathroom.


(Bey) "You are know help. Did you grab any while you were at your place earlier?" i yelled into the bathroom. 


(Jay) "Yea, i left them out in the car, you gonna go get them." he yelled back.


(Bey) rolls eyes "Yea i guess" i said as i walked out the room to go to the car. 


When i got out to the car the door was locked. I was mad because i had forgot the keys and i didn't feel like going back to get them. Just as i turned around to go back in, the car beeped, signaling that it was unlocked and i looked up and saw him standing in the window with the remote. I was hoping he wasn't going to try to play around with the lock and have me stand out there longer than usual. But he didn't. I reached in the back and got his things, all his 3 bags and carried the in. Got damn where they heavy. The minute i got in the house, i dropped them at the bottom of the stairs it was no way that i was going to carry them up the steps.


(Bey) walking into the room "Oh no" i said as i went and plopped down on the bed. "You have to go grab those bags your self. I think i hurt my back fooling around with those things."


(Jay) chuckling "ol weak sauce" he said as he threw the remote at me as i laid on the bed from exhaustion.


(Bey) "You lucky that didn't hit me" i yelled to him as he walked out the room.


Jay and I played around a lot with each other. We played around so much that it was hard to take each other seriously sometimes. It never became a problem though it only made things so much better between us. Jay came back into the room carrying his bags, I got up to show him what i had decided to wear and he just went on and matched it up from there. As Jay went on shower and get ready, I went and asked Solo to straighten my hair for me because i didn't feel like it. Only for big events do i call Angie and Ty. After getting my hair straightened, i went to refreshen up since i already took a shower. Jay was in the middle of getting dress, and Solo was just starting to get dress.


RING. RING. RING It was my phone and it was Gwyn.


(Gwyn) "Hey Bey, what are you up too?"


(Bey) "Nothing much, in the middle of getting ready."


(Gwyn) "Oh okay, I'm in the middle of getting ready myself" she said letting out a laugh. "But I was just letting you know, that once I'm finished here I'm going be headed straight there, Chris she be arriving within in hr after i do."


(Bey) "Okay, just text me when you get there." i said saying the simplest thing to get her off the phone, i was a bit busy and i already knew what she wanted.


After getting off, I slipped into my dress , but this time, Jay was already dresses. He was on the phone with somebody, discussing i don't know. I just went on about my business. After i was done, i went down the hall to Solo, who was looking absolutely phenomenal, to see how i looked. I knew Jay would give me an indirect answer. After she gave me the okay i went back into my room and double checked myself. Once we were all officially done we left out. During the card ride, I received a text from Gwyn, letting me know she was there. We got to the club around 7:15. Jay took Solo off to where it was she would be stationed at, and i went and met up with Gwyn. She discussed to me everything about how she was going to host he night, prepare the arrival of Chris, and a bunch of other things. I just went along with her as people started arriving and until Chris came. From there i met up with Kelly, Jay and the crew at our own personal area we had. Well V.I.P of course. I was on my way to the bar, to change to order of my drink. It's bad enough i already been drinking, but i was having such a good time. Before going back to our spot, i decided to go check on Solo at the Dj table. She was really rocking out the house. 

(Bey) "Omg Solo, look at you girl. Im so proud of you." i said going to give her a hug.


(Solo) hugging Bey back "Thanks Be----" looks behind Bey then back at Bey "......Bey I hate to tell you this, but there's Tony."




(Bey's Thoughts)
When Solo told me that I immediately froze up. It caught me so ogg guard because i wasn't expecting to see him. And lately he's been the last thing i've been thinking about. I didnt know what to do. 


I stood there anxious to turn around. I knew they had to be a good distance from me because otherwise he would have came in spoke. I slowly turned around and the minute i did, i wish i hadn't. He had the audacity to bring that bitch with him. He must want me to go to jail.

(Solo) "It looks like he about to come over here."

(Bey) "I hope he doesn't and god she is ugly."

(Solo) laughs and starts back spinnig.

I started to walk away but i ran into Jay as i did. I only are it a few feet away from the DJ booth.

(Jay) "Dang what was taking you so long?"

(Bey) "I had came over here to talk to Solo that all" i said trying to keep walking but Jay grabbed a hold of me.

(Jay) walking towards Solo, still holding Bey.

Great, just when i was trying to get away i thought. 


(Jay) "Aye Solo, your doing great sis. You want anything to drink or something though."


(Solo) "Thanks and No I'm good, i got my water right here." she said holding it up.


(Bey) "Alright Jay, you ready to go back now." i said pulling on him.


(Jay) still talking to Solo "Alright cool."


(Bey) tugging at Jay "JAY?" i said in a loud whisper.


(Jay) "What?"


(Bey) "I said are you ready to go back now?"


(Jay) "Yea come on."


And just as we were turning around, there he stood. Stupid Tony and his slutty baby mama. I just ut on my poker face and smiled. Victoria was the first to speak.


(Victoria) "Omg, Beyonce it's been awhile how are you girl?" she said extending her arms out as if she was about to hug me.


(Bey's thoughts)
Hold the hell on. What gives the bitch the right to speak to me, as of we were cool. Or as if she wasn't on the arm of my ex fiancé. Oohhhhh.........i was livid. I wanted to snatch the life out of her.


Tony sort of gave her that look as if she shouldn't be talking and I just looked at her like the hoe she was. It was hard to see how Jay was feeling, but i knew it wasn't something good because he held on to my hand tight. No one said anything but Victoria. Everyone else just stood there looking at each other in silence. After another moment of awkward silence, Jay just walked away still holding my hand going back towards our area. Nothing else was said about that moment. We just went back to our area and partied it up. I didn't even mention it to Kelly or Angie. It was already awkward enough and i didn't want them to make any references to the situation that would upset Jay. Although Jay never mentions it, but i feel he hates Tony more than i do. So i know it took a lot in him not to do anything and i was happy nothing happened. It just would have been too much to deal with. And i can honestly say that after seeing Tony, although i was a little upset, i wasn't tripping on him at all. And i guess he saw that after walking off from him with Jay.
